Orelsan

Orelsan is a French multi-disciplinary artist, author, composer, actor, director, screenwriter, and voice actor. He started his career in 2008 with the release of his first album, Perdu d’avance, which was a success and was certified gold.In 2011, he won two Victoires de la Musique awards and received a double platinum certification with his album Le Chant des sirènes. In 2013, his album Orelsan et Gringe sont les casseurs flowteurs was certified platinum. He also co-directed a movie centered on the duo, Comment c’est loin, the soundtrack of which was also certified platinum. The two friends also directed a short series Bloqués on Canal+ and YouTube, with each episode counting millions of views.Since 2016, he has also been the French voice of Saitama for the anime adaptation of the manga One Punch Man. In 2017, he returned to music with the single Basique, which announced the release of his solo album La fête est finie. The album was certified diamond and won three Victoires de la Musique.In October 2020, he released an 8-episode documentary on Amazon Prime titled Ne montre ça à personne and released a new album followed by a major tour. His fourth album, Civilisation, was released in 2021 and announced with the music video L’odeur de l’essence. The album was certified diamond in only 5 months, becoming the fastest-certified diamond album. It earned Orelsan two new Victoires de la Musique awards: Best Song and Artist of the Year. In 2022, he won six trophies at the NRJ Music Awards, including best male artist. During his Civilisation tour, he collaborated with Dior for his costumes design and filled the AccorHotels Arena, Europe’s largest venue, five times. In total, over 1.2 million people attended it with 82 shows.On 2023, he received three new awards from Victoire de la Musique, making him the most rewarded artist. His collaboration with Dior is being carried on and Orelsan has become new perfume Gris Dior egerie since April 2023.
